Functionality No diagnostics

The app connects to the mini obd2 scanner but I get no information once connected. No General information, nothing in dynamic parameters, no diagnostics trouble codes or fuel economiser. In fact all 4 are greyed out. This is with the Pro version. My car is a 2003 BMW m3. Thank you in advance for your help.

App connects with some cars but doesn't connect with other obd2 compliant cars, it takes a very long time to find protocols but still doesn't connect anyways, any suggestions or trouble shooting guides?

I have 2015 Madza CX-5, is wifi OBD2 scanner compatible and how do I know what code goes with what problems. There's no code book that comes with scanner.

Hi I just bought an obd2 adapter from Amazon and I've been trying to install it but when I plug it In the light is red whereas if says if should be green. Also having a lot of difficulty connecting the adapter to the app and I've tried many times

Unfortunately can't say anything regarding Raspberry specific, just some general tips on communication from any outer platform.

  • setup direct WiFi connection from Raspberry to OBD2 Device
  • check that Raspberry's get (or pre-set) address in the same network 192.168.0.XXX and mask is 255.255.255.0
  • setup socket (serial port protocol - SPP) connection from "terminal" with OBD2 device
  • first check that OBD2 responds with "internal" AT-commands, for example ATZ - reset the device
  • be sure that sent command is finished with "carriage return" (using terminal, that is automatic... just pressing Enter at the end of command)
  • if all above is Ok, could proceed with OBD2 commands

Hi All,

I'm trying to connect with ELM327 Wifi OBD2 device with raspberry PI 3. Currently I'm able to connect through OBD Cat Doctor App but I would like to gather the same information from Raspberry PI Terminal. Please advice How to connect and retrieve it. I'm new-bee to Raspberry PI and OBD.

I tried connecting netcat 192.168.0.10 35000 and passing the mode cod( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OBD-II_PIDs#Modes), but its not giving any response.

Please help.

I was an ASE certified mechanic for 20 years and I am beta testing the pro I don't know where you guys get your information but you are giving bad information and abs and transmission codes should be available

Hi, Thanks for coming back to me on this. I bought this adaptor from a company via Amazon called Qillu EU who describe it as a super mini Wifi V1 1.5 OBD2 OBD11.

I am convinced this has caused the problem as only started once installed in diagnostic port! I have since contacted them and they have refunded me in full via Amazon so in that respect they are honourable!
