Auto Shows are held in different regions of the world. At these events, manufacturers of cars and automotive equipment demonstrate their latest innovations, which are introduced by the concept cars and customer models, auxiliary automotive technologies and capacities (eg. augmented reality technology Invisible-to-Visible, etc.). Among other things, iconic cars of the past also can be demonstrated in such exhibitions. There you can get acquainted with the latest car-models of the automotive industry and not only, besides, manufacturers often reveal the “secrets” and technical features of their new car models.

North American International Auto Show or NAIAS
Held annually in January in Detroit, Michigan. The first Detroit auto Show was organized in 1899 by William Metzger, an entrepreneur and, car salesman. The venue is the Cobo Center. Since 1987, the auto exhibition has gained an international character.
In 2019, the dates of this event are 12.01-27.01.
Among other things, such Shows are held Awards Ceremony in different categories. Namely chosen "North American car of the year” and “North American SUV of the year.”
The organization PlanetM provide a number of awards for the products of engineers of different technologies connected to the automotive industry. PlanetM combines organizations, communities, and institutions working on the development and implementation of mobile technologies of the future.

At the show, Ford Motor Company and Volkswagen Group announced a global alliance to collaborate on commercial vans and mid-size pickup trucks, and potentially share EV and autonomous vehicle technology in the future.
Paris Motor Show
The event is held every two years, the nearest occasion will be in 2020, the exact date hasn’t been announced yet. In 2016, the Motor Show was visited by more than one million people. Marquis Фlbert de Dion, who was one of the pioneers of the automotive industry, organized this exhibition in 1898. Paris Motor Show is known as the first in its history Auto Show. The venue is Paris Expo Porte de Versailles.
International Geneva Motor Show
Motor Show was organized in 1905 on the initiative of three people, entrepreneur and General representative of Michelin in Switzerland Paul Boucher, Albert Vassali and engineer Jules Megeve. The Show is held annually and in 2019, the dates are scheduled for 7-17.03
LA Auto Show
The Los Angeles auto show has been held since 1907, and today it is a medium-sized exhibition of cars and automotive technology. This motor show is held annually in the Los Angeles Convention Center. In 2019, it will be held from 22.11 to 1.12.

International Motor Show in Germany
The Frankfurt motor show is held every year, but passenger vehicles demonstrated only in odd years, commercial vehicles -in even years. Also, cities, where the event takes place, is different, so the event takes place in Messe Frankfurt and Hanover Fairground, respectively. In 2019, the dates are scheduled for 12.09-22.09. The first exhibition was held in 1897.
The exhibition auto show in Beijing is held in China’s International Exhibition Center (TianZhu) every two years since 1900 and alternates with the Shanghai Motor Show. The Chinese automotive market is growing, and the popularity of the Motor Show in Beijing is growing with it too, moreover, today the scale of its holding is not inferior to the NAIAS or IAA Germany.
Tokyo Motor Show
Tokyo Motor Show is an international exhibition of cars and commercial vehicles, as well as motorcycles, which is held every two years, and in 2019 the dates are scheduled for 24.10 - 4.11, at the Exhibition Center - Tokyo Big Sight.
The first show was organized in 1954 and was called All-Japan Motor Show, it was attended by 257 companies, mainly from Japan. The number of visitors reached a little more than 547 000 people. In addition, the Tokyo motor show set a record, when more than two million people attended the event in 1991.
There are many awards in different categories, but the most prestigious and significant are four of them.
World Car of the Year (WCOTY)
It is an international award in the field of the automobile industry, cars are awarded by the Commission represented by professional international journalists from 20 countries. The first award was given in 2004 and the winner is the Audi A6. Already in 2005, the number of nominations increased from one to four, and in 2014 to 5, from 2017 within the organization there are 6 nominations.

European Car of the Year
It is also an international award in the field of the automobile industry and is awarded by a Board of European automotive journalists from 22 countries with 58 members. The award system is limited to one nomination and three places. In 2018, Volvo XC40 took first place, SEAT Ibiza -second place, and BMW 5-3rd place.
Green Car of the Year
Green Car of the Year is an award which was established by Green Car Journal, and one more category was added in the 2015 year - “Green Truck of the Year” The jury, which evaluates the nominees, consists of 11 people, namely experts in the field of ecology and automotive industry. In 2018, the “Green car of the year” was Honda Clarity, and in the category of “Green truck of the year” Chevy Colorado won.
Car design Award
“The Automotive design of the year” award was established in 1984 on the initiative of Fulvio Sinti, founder, and Director of Auto&Design magazine. The award is aimed at projects that have made a significant contribution to the development of the automotive design. In 2018, the Company received awards to Honda for its car model Urban EV Concept, Jaguar for auto E-Pace and Volvo car line.
