Solar cars – a new perspective

Solar cars are not up to date trend, as the first car on solar batteries (Sunmobile) appeared in 1955. It was created by William Cobb designer and engineer from General Motors, and was demonstrated in the “Powerama Show”, in Chicago. In that time, it was just an idea, without practical use. But, for today, that idea comes to real, and modern “Sunmobiles” looks futuristic like in a science fiction movie. But seriously, are solar cars can totally replace the usual cars on gas or petrol or even electric cars? What are their main benefits?
