Connected and smart cars are closer to our life every day. Anyway, these technologies are developing rapidly now. For this reason, cars, the organization of traffic, and the road infrastructure are changing rapidly.

Smart Climate in the new Golf

The smart climate menu opens up several new useful features for users. A tangible example is a 3-zone automatic air conditioner "Air Care Climatronic." The system allows you to set up directional heating to warm up feet, hands, windscreen. Therefore, the new model is the first Golf that interactively responds to the wishes of the driver and passenger.

Control of the air conditioning system-touch or voice. Now you can intuitively activate pre-configured scripts with a single touch, alternatively with voice control. All you have to do is say: “I am cold” or “I am warm." The conditioner's basic functions are also available on the main screen. Volkswagen identified five commonly used scenarios and moved them to the Smart Climate menu:

  • Clear view;
  • Warm feet;
  • Warm hands;
  • Cool feet;
  • Fresh air;

What is around the corner

The new Ford’s technology ‘Local Hazard Information’ (LHI) marks a significant step on the journey towards a connected transport infrastructure by helping drivers prepare for and potentially avoid dangers on the road.

The system operates autonomously, and information about potential hazards appears on the head-up display. The LHI is being implemented in more than 80% of Ford's passenger car line by the end of this year. Also, other cars can use the company's connected service. The vehicle automatically provides updates via a secure connection to the cloud using the FordPass Connect modem.
