The speed and the drive. Fast cars make your blood run cold.

Racing cars will always be popular. After all, they attract a lot of attention, both professional racers, and motorists. Considering a racing car, you should pay attention to such characteristics as:

  • speed;
  • dynamics;
  • engine;
  • car weight;
  • auto and accessories manufacturer.

All these criteria affect the quality and cost of the car. For example, the cost of Korean sports cars is significantly lower than vehicles from Germany or the United States. Perhaps this is due to the experience of companies. European and American automakers have shaped the history of the auto industry. However, components can be manufactured in the leading countries of the Far East region, especially concerning electrical systems. Already 12 companies in South Korea are manufacturers of spare parts with access to the international market, such as ANAM MOTORS Co and CTR. The products of the Japanese company AISIN are supplied to the conveyors of General Motors, Audi, BMW, Hyundai, Honda, Kia, Mazda, Nissan, and Mitsubishi. Its competitor is Denso, whose parts can be found in almost any brand you know.

Speed has become their indispensable companion with the advent of vehicles as a means of transport.

From 1893 to this day, the world has seen a million racing cars. The first start of the race took place on July 22, 1894. It's safe to say that every decade has at least one iconic racing car. Auto racing attracted an audience from that day, and over time it has branched out. For instance, the rally, drag racing, karting, drifting, and even truck trail.

Auto collectors dream of owning a racing legend. Usually, they can be seen in museums, but there are those that are exclusively in private collections. Directors made films about such legends of the automotive industry and racing.

Over the long history of automobile racing, racing cars have emerged that are innovative and superior in every way.

One of the historical pearls of motorsport became Auto Union - a car manufacturer of the 1930s. The group included Audi too. This brand has repeatedly become the winner of racing competitions. In one way or another, Auto Union racing cars focused on technical features and engineering solutions. Among their representatives were vehicles with a 16-cylinder engine. Sometimes the engine was placed in the middle, it changed the car's balance. In 1973, Auto Union’s Streamliner reached a speed of 400 km/h on public roads! The designers made the car streamlined and futuristic. To some extent, Auto Union then was like Tesla today. They decided on decisions and ideas that seemed impossible to others.

 In 1932, the same speed record was reached by Sir Malcolm Campbell, for Bluebird cars. In 1937, it was distinguished by another car. The pilot John Eiston in the vehicle «Rolls-Royce-Eiston» accelerated to 500 km/h.

Consider a few more cars that affected more modern motorsport.

Cars are stylish and fast

Pagani Huayra

The exclusive mid-motor sports car of the Italian brand Pagani. The vehicle's name means «God of the winds» in translation from the ancient Inca language. Its design and configuration attract everyone.

The 6-liter engine, 720 hp, is equipped with a 7-speed robot. Auto provides the ability to accelerate up to hundreds of kilometers in 3 seconds, using active aerodynamic elements and shock absorbers that change the height of the front of the car.

In 2021, the racing version of the car was declassified. The founder and head of Pagani Automobili stated that the creators of racing cars are deprived of creative freedom. Therefore, the racing version of Huayra R as an auto for the track can be stylish and powerful. The price is €2.6 million, excluding taxes.

McLaren F1

It is a fast, innovative sports car that has won the trust of many. It has been produced since 1992, updating its technical specifications. McLaren has 183 victories in the race. If we talk about the hypercar, it is a modern and comfortable car.

McLaren F1 engineers used hydrocarbon fiber not only for the body but also for the car's chassis. To protect the carboniferous body from heat, the engine compartment was covered with a film of pure gold. The 6.1 gasoline engine has a 6-speed manual box and speeds up to 386 km/h. This makes it one of the best racing cars in history.

Porsche 9ff GT9-R

You can talk a lot about the Porsche car brand, and its merits in motorsport. Porsche is definitely one of the most famous car manufacturers. 9ff GT9-R is the fastest and most powerful car in the model range. The body is made of composite materials and carbon fiber, placed on a chassis made of steel with a new rear subframe. These parameters allow the supercar to occupy one of the leading positions in this segment of cars.

The power of the engine allows for the achievement of stunning dynamic characteristics: the maximum speed of the car is 414 km/h, and acceleration to one hundred km is achieved in 2.8 seconds. The gasoline 4-liter engine has a 6-speed manual transmission of 845 horsepower. Definitely, this car will be one of the leading on the race roads.

Who’s the fastest guy?

The Thrust SSC Iron Monster and its pilot Andy Green (a Royal Air Force fighter pilot) broke the record on October 15, 1997.  The car’s speed reached supersonic levels of 1,227.9 km/h. The result was achieved in 16 seconds, and the classic mark of 100 km/h car overcame in 0.9 seconds.

Thrust SSC is equipped with two Rolls-Royce Sprey turbofan engines totaling 110,000 hp.
