So i bought the ELM 327 FROM BANGGOOD.com (chinese wholesaler) 1.5v small black adapter Bluetooth, several months ago for my BMW 528i, have not tried it yet, they say it uses Torque android app. There are a few by that name, wondering if its going to work at all from reading various users online.

I'm going to try OBD DOCTOR app first and go from there,

any body tried the old little black one like mine? Which app is best? Free ones esp.

Im really needing to define 3 of the "P1" codes to fix my car in order to get emmisions test,rough idle & burning somewhat rich. Replaced all 6 ignition coils already, and didn't change a thing. Plugs are next I suppose. But at this rate it could start getting pricey.

Все китайские поделки на клоне ELM327 v2.1 (не путать с оригинальным ELM327 которые будут стоить от $70) имеют серьезные проблемы как на уровне команд так и на сигнальной уровне. Баги на сигнальной уровне могут приводить к сбоям в ЭБУ авто -это может проявляться не на всех адаптера и не на всех авто, но риск есть. В программе мы тоже стараемся обходить известные проблемы, но кто знает сколько там еще сюрпризов. С предыдущими версиями 1.5 1.4 таких проблем просто нет, они стабильнее и надежнее.

All observed clones that is adapters with prices 5 - 30 usd version 2.1 have some problems and might be dangerous at least some of them. With our program we try to bypass known problems but can't guarantee the safety... Any way version 2.1 the bad choice if compare with 1.5 or 1.4 by fact looks like it based on the very old ELM327 1.0 firmware modified not correctly...

Я недавно купил этот адаптер (ELM327 v.2.1) и только что протестировал его на моём Opel Astra H.

Работает нормально - я посмотрел некоторые динамические параметры (количество оборотов, температуру охлаждающей жидкости)

Соединение по bluetooth работало нормально.

Возможно, эта модель рабочая. К сожалению, я сейчас не могу сообщить его MAC адрес.

I bought this adapter (ELM327 v.2.1) and just tested it on my Opel Astra H.

It works fine - I saw some dynamic parameters (RPM, Temp of Cooling Liquid)

The connection was good.

Maybe this version of the item is good. Unfortunately I can't say it's MAC address for now.

The smartphone is Alcatel Idol 2 mini S 6036Y

Please try to read trouble codes and then send us a debug log with appropriate option in Settings, also please provide the observed values, we will check the issue. Thanks!

Графики как картинку лучше смотреть здесь в личном кабинете. Т.е. создать аккаунт отправить на сервер и смотреть тут на сайте. Иначе без навыков програмирования хотя-бы в экселе сделать будет сложно.

Hi,

I'm using OBD Car Doctor on IOS (latest version on app store as at 22 January 2015) connecting to a Mazda RX8.

When I read a diagnostic trouble code (for example P2270), there is a lot of supplementary data also recorded.  This looks really useful, as I would like to try to correlate the appearance of a trouble code with engine condition at the time.

However, the supplementary data is all corrupt.  Engine RPM is shown as 29.00 when I know that when the DTC was raised I was on a motorway, cruising at about 3500RPM.  Similarly speed is shown as 1km/h, which is not possible, and Air Intake Temperature shows as 4294967296.00C!

If I read the same measurements from the real time dynamic parameters screens, I get much more plausible numbers - but that doesn't help me correlate with the trouble code instant.

Can anyone offer any help or advice please?
