I just bought an obd2 plugin sensor and downloaded the car doctor app. I was able to connect and clear the check engine light in my car and proceeded to try to do another car. It connected found the error for the check engine light but had an error for clearing it so I unpluged closed app and tried again. Since then it won't even connect it just runs through protocol and doesn't finish. Any suggestions?

eBay: Sells as v1.5 but send v2.1
I bought item called Hot ELM327 OBD2">OBD2 V1.5 Bluetooth Car Diagnostic Scanner Android Torque Auto Scan from seller gamesalor on eBay but he send me v2.1And it dont work with my car Škoda Fabia 2002 approx. I wanted v1.5 because there in forum and in pdf manual on page 5 you write that 1.5 is better, so be prepared when you search for v1.5 you can get v 2.1
I got half price refund but after apllication Elm327 Version Check tells me that this is v2.1 so perharps I could get full refund.
I wanted to test this product because it seems to be interesting and perhaprs write article about it on my magazine.
OBD Car Doctor Android functionality Is it possible to read errors from other systems: ABS, automatic transmission, etc.

You can mostly through on board diagnostic connector 2 (obd2">obd2) extract any information from any modul
Please don't mixup the diagnostic connector and OBD-II standard. Standard give exact requirements for mechanical connector part (socket), electrical part (signal layer), and protocol (logical layer). And all this describes ONLY engine (and bit around) related cases. Nobody reject the fact that OTHER car system could use the same mechanical and electrical parts of protocol for the communication, but that is NOT anyway regulated by the standard... and not supported with our program. Thank you for the attention.

It fails to connect to this adaper in 5.0. Downloaded 4.99 APK from the internets, everything works fine, pls check up the recent changes.

hi, i already tested my chinese elm v2.1 in many cars (28 now), the only i have issues was a chinese car, a Jac J3, all dash lights came on, the car won't start, locks get crazy..
my mac adress is 88:18:56:98:EB

What are the disadvantages when connecting to Wi-Fi adapter on Android?
The main drawback of connecting to the car OBD2">OBD2 system via Wi-Fi adapter are the problems or inability to use the mobile Internet when connected to the Wi-Fi adapter.
If you are connected to the Wi-Fi via OBD2">OBD2 adapter on your mobile device, you may receive a notification that you are "connected to the network without Internet access" in order to have access to the Internet, you need to setup the Internet by putting a tick "use the Internet of the card" that is, the mobile Internet.

↵How to connect with Wi-Fi adapter?
In order to connect to the Wi-Fi adapter, follow these steps:
- Connect Wi-Fi adapter to the diagnostic OBD-II connector
- Go to Settings Android -> list of Wi-Fi networks and find Wi-Fi network of your OBD2">OBD2 adapter.
- Go to OBD InCarDoc app, move on to the settings, "Connection" select "Connection Mode" - Wi-Fi. Then fill in the fields withe adapter's data (it can be found in the manual to the adapter): IP address, Port.

First of all, make sure that your Wi-Fi adapter is detected by your Android device. Not all adapters will work with "non routed" Android-devices. It is better to clarify the compatibility with the OBD2">OBD2 Wi-Fi adapter form the Android reseller.

Основной недостаток подключения к OBD-системе авто через Wi-Fi адаптер – проблемы или отсутствие возможности использовать Мобильный интернет при подключении к адаптеру.
Если вы подключили доступ к Wi-Fi через OBD2">OBD2 адаптер, на вашем мобильном устройстве может появиться уведомление, о том, что вы «подключены к сети без доступа в Интернет», для того чтобы иметь доступ в Интернет, вам нужно в настройках Интернет поставить галочку «использовать Интернет сим-карты», то есть мобильный интернет.
