Is it possible to read errors from other systems: ABS, automatic transmission, etc.
In accordance with the OBD-II only Check Engine errors are displayed and reset, i.e. engine and transmission errors.
*To clear errors one should do it with the engine stopped, but the power switched on.
The errors from other systems (i.e. ABS, automatic transmission, SRS (Airbag), etc.) do not described by the OBD-II standard, so it is not supported by the application.
Why the application needs access to the Photo / Media / Files, Device & App History, Localization
What does the error XXXX mean?
The Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) are collected at the Electronic control unit of the car (ECU) when any car system error appears, they serve to understand the reason of the errors and solve them.
For error detection and more information about the error, use the link www.obd-codes.com.
Other PIDs such as PID 05, 06 etc. will be supported?
Currently OBD InCarDoc application supports PID 01, 02, 03, 04.07, 09 (partially).
To support other PIDs we need more information, and if you own such information, we will be glad if you share it with us.
Can’t clear errors (DTC) from the ECU?
Solution: You should clear errors at the full power supplied, but with the engine OFF.
"Economy fuel", "Economy fuel avg" is not in the list of (or is displayed incorrectly)
For the calculation of all types of fuel economy (consumption) MAF sensor or MAP + RPM + IAT sensors data should be available in the car (if only MAP sensor is available you should specify proper Engine displacement in cubic centimeters). For diesel cars LOAD sensor data is also required. Data display may be some time after the beginning of the car movement (speed > 5 km / h, the distance > 50m).
Possible errors:
1. "Economy fuel" is out of the list (gasoline car) As for the "Economy fuel" calculation following parameters are required:
* One must fill in Volumetric efficiency in the Configuration >> Car parameters >> Volumetric Efficiency beta. If the data necessary for the calculation is not supported by the ECU of your car, then the calculation of the “Economy fuel” calculation is not possible.
2. "Economy fuel" is listed, but displayed incorrectly (diesel car) solution:
3. "Economy fuel avg" is not displayed
* One can configure the metric in Configuration >> Localization >> Imperial / Metric.
Note !!! Localization changes come into force only after the program reconnection.
What do the data "Economy distance", "Economy distance avg", "Economy fuel", "Economy fuel avg" mean?
Note !!! Localization changes come into force only after the program reconnection.
** you should drive at least 200 meters from the start of reading a parameter until the values appear.
How connect to Nissan QG18DD? What is Nissan QG18DD at the ECU settings?
Nissan QG18DD is the type of Nissan cars engine, used in the following vehicles: 1999-2004 Nissan Sunny, 1999 Nissan Primera Wagon. If you are sure your Nissan car has this very engine, you can just connect to it. To connect with Nissan QG18DD go to Settings >> Test >> ECU >> choose Nissan QG18DD. That means you are choosing configuration file with the description of corresponding protocol (Nissan QG18DD), which we have added purposely.
*Other Nissan cars can also launch using this configuration file, but we are not sure how the parameters will be displayed.
If you have any information about other car's configuration files, we'll be gratefull if you'll share it with us. Thanks!
