20th January 2020 – Subaru’s popular compact crossover XV now comes with a new powertrain, the e-BOXER, which combines an electric motor with two of Subaru's core technologies: the horizontally-opposed Boxer engine and Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive. But why did this car deserve your attention? Let’s see it.

The Subaru XV in the coupe version GP7 has a hybrid powertrain, is 4WD and provide about 20 cm of ground clearance, what else can you wish? This car has proven itself in many countries. It is perfect for the markets of Japan, the US, Europ. However, the car has small differences in complexion. There isn't a hybrid installation in Russia.

XV e-BOXER combines a 2.0 direct injection horizontally opposed petrol engine with an electric motor. A lithium-ion battery unit is mounted within the boot floor and allows for pure-electric driving at speeds of up to 25mph. The same 2.0-liter engine is also used in the Subaru Forester, and here it has 150HP. There are accumulators, hybrid-batterie and battery for the Start-Stop.
